Open House
Mountain Press Article - July 28, 2008

We held an OPEN HOUSE on Sunday, July 13, 2008 from 2 to 4 p.m. to celebrate a new beginning for an old historic church. Entertainment included the Old Harp Singers and Linda Reid on the piano. Refreshments and great fellowship were had by all during the 2 hours.

We are proud to announce our new church building at 2119 Upper Middle Creek. This new location is about a mile south on Upper Middle Creek Road from the old building. The first service will be held on Sunday, February 17th. Please come and celebrate with us.

Sock Tree


The youth of the church decorated a Christmas tree with socks. This tree was donated to a local nursing home on Sunday, December 16th. The nursing home residents greatly appreciated the gifts and visitors.

New Hymnals


Thanks to Gap Creek Church of Knox County for the donation of their old hymnals. This donation is greatly appreciated by the members of our congretation. They will be put to good use.
